What Is Your Why?

The Power of “Why?” Have you ever been asked a really good question? The best ones often begin with “Why?”

Here are three “why” questions we hear a lot:

Why do we do what we do? Because too many people don’t have access to the medical equipment they need. Someone wants to get moving again after an injury—we can help make that journey a little easier. Someone wants to stay independent and mobile—we can help make that possible. Someone simply wants to spend more time with the people they love—we want to help them do that, too.

Why do people need durable medical equipment? Because it can be expensive. Insurance doesn’t always cover what someone needs, and some people don’t have insurance at all. Sometimes the process of getting equipment is complicated or takes longer than someone can wait.

Why is helping out so easy? Because we want everyone to have a way to be part of this. There are three simple ways:

  1. Give. Donate to A Caring Closet and keep the equipment moving to the people who need it.
  2. Help. Volunteer your time! There are lots of ways to pitch in—from distribution and repairs to organizing and helping clients.
  3. Tell. Be an advocate in your community. Tell your friends, neighbors, and family about A Caring Closet—and about the difference we can make when we help one another.

Maybe that leads to one more good question: Why not?
